 This position requires visual and mechanical inspection of orthopedic implants. The position is for second (2nd) shift, with training being performed on first (1st) shift.
 
 

Duties
Perform receiving and final inspection per customer specifications. Perform in-process inspection per Orchid Stealth Coating and customer specifications. Perform lab testing per Orchid Stealth Coating specifications. Complete all required documentation of said inspections and testing. Maintain records of inspection, testing, calibration, etc. Maintain clean and safe work areas. Properly utilize personnel safety equipment.

 

Qualifications
Ability to interpret characteristics of castings, forgings, and machined product and disposition of non-conforming product with minimum supervision.
Ability to perform visual/dimensional inspection based on written standards. Good written, oral communication skill, all of which will require the english language.
Ability to work with others. Basic understanding of computer operations.


 

Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training.


 

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. (All of which will be in the English language)


 
 Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This position may require working modified schedules to support production requirements.
